In November of 2024, I was appointed as Public Relations Chairman of the Alpha Lambda Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi. When I took over this role, I saw an opportunity to build on the foundation already laid, and worked to create a newfound identity for a chapter that was already in the process of growing and reinventing itself.
My committee placed a heavy emphasis on the things that bring us together as brothers, using that to tell the unique story of our chapter in our own, unique way. We immediately started posting monthly highlights of brothers who had achieved significant milestones in the Ole Miss community, while also emphasizing our social events as a chapter. This included creating event recap reels and promotional content, as well as capitalizing on formal recruitment to build brand awareness and engagement on our social media platforms, with Potential New Members, Active Members, and Alumni serving as our primary client base.
Since taking over the account in November 2024, we have reached over 75,000 Instagram accounts, and our account has gained over 1,500 followers.
